Our Story
|
Susan Shallo, founder and owner of Croptopia Getaways has been an avid photographer,
album maker and event planner for most of her life. In 2003, after leaving Corporate
America to become a stay-at-home-mom, the idea of Croptopia Getaways was born. Her goal was
to create a one-of-a-kind weekend getaway experience for scrapbookers and papercrafters.
The first event was held in November, 2003 with over 100 women in attendance. Attention to detail,
top notch accommodations, a friendly staff and goodies galore are just part of the experience
that makes Croptopia Getaways one of the premier crafting events on the East Coast.
When she's not busy planning getaways, she resides in Charleston, South Carolina with her
husband Jerry and their three daughters.

Our Staff
|
Peggy is queen of the details. She can be found packing and unpacking boxes,
setting up Creation Station, checking in guests or even scrapping while she works!
Our events would not be the same without Peggy's eye for detail and creative spirit.
Jen is our behind the scenes gal and along with Kyle, handles all the technology. Jen is always
looking for new marketing ideas for sharing Croptopia with the world!
Patty and Kyle are the ones that can stay up all night and still smile over breakfast.
You will see them when you head to bed, or at 2 in the morning when you decide that you are creative and need to
get these pages done and again at 7 when you are ready to start all over again
